SS-1 Any American made car with a stock wheel base of at least 108”. No clipped cars! SS-2 All glass, chrome, plastic, mirrors, door handles and flammable material must be removed. SS-3 Doors must be welded or bolted shut. SS-4 Minimum of 3 driver protection bars of 3/8” is required in windshield in front of driver. SS-5 Frame mounted with at least a 6 point roll cage with 3 or more driver bars and 2 or more passenger bars. Bars may protrude through firewall. Bars and bracing must stay inside body panels. Bars within drivers range needs to be padded. SS-6 Window nets are highly recommended. SS-7 After market body panels will be allowed but must be stock appearing, hood and trunk will be on car at all times. SS-8 Cars must have complete floorboard, and a steel firewall separating driver from engine, with all holes filled with non flammable material. SS-9 Made for racing seat, seatbelts, and full driver suit and racing helmet required. SS-10 Tow chains on front and back of car, capable of lifting the car. SS-11 Cars must have front and rear bumpers, no sharp edges or protruding bumpers allowed. SS-12 No radios or mirrors allowed. SS-13 Fire extinguisher in every car. SS-14 Battery will be an enclosed marine box and fasten securely. SS-15 Break pedal and master cylinder must be in original position. SS-16 Must have functional brakes on all four wheels. SS-17 Suspension, may have wedge jacks, tubular upper A-arm only (for access to weight jack), racing springs, shocks (1 per wheel). Springs to be secured from falling out by straps, chain or wire. SS-18 Stock rear end, Ford 9”, or floater will be legal, quick change rear ends will not. SS-19 Engine and transmission may be mounted solid. SS-20 One gas carburetor (no alcohol) with no more than 4 barrels. Dual line and double pump carbs are acceptable but MUST run gas only. NO electric fuel pump! SS-21 Cast iron exhaust, may run headers (under chassis type) for easy application of muffler. SS-22 Cast iron heads and block required, may run aluminum intake. SS-23 Hydraulic, solid or roller cams acceptable. SS-24 Aftermarket ignition and distributor permitted. SS-25 Oil coolers allowed. SS-26 Any stock automatic or standard transmission, direct drives will be permitted. NO aluminum, Brinn, Bert, Falcon or any other aftermarket transmissions. White drive shaft!
